Privacy Policy

Last updated September 2, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Vavvo collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and mobile apps.

1. Information we collect

Account details you provide (name, email, profile photo, bio), listing content you publish, booking and messaging activity, and optional identity documents you submit for verification. Payment card details are collected and stored solely by our payment processor, Stripe — Vavvo never sees or stores full card numbers.

2. How we use your information

To operate the marketplace: create and display listings, process bookings and payments, send booking confirmations and updates by email, moderate listings, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and improve the service. We may also send occasional product updates, which you can opt out of at any time.

3. Identity verification

If you request verification, the ID image you upload is used only to confirm your identity. It is visible solely to platform administrators reviewing your request, is never shown publicly, and is deleted upon request once a decision has been made.

4. Sharing

Hosts and guests see each other's names, profile photos and booking details necessary to complete a reservation. A listing's exact address is shared only after a booking is confirmed. We share data with service providers (payments, email delivery, hosting) strictly to run the platform, and with authorities when legally required.

5. Location data

Listings include a city and approximate location shown on maps. We do not track your device location in the background. If you grant location permission in the mobile app, it is used only to sort nearby spaces while the app is open.

6. Data retention & your rights

We keep account and booking records while your account is active and as needed for tax, legal and dispute purposes. You may access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time from your profile or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile, listings and messages; completed booking records are retained in anonymised form where the law requires.

7. Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the app is used. No advertising trackers are used.

8. Children

Vavvo is not directed at children under 18. You must be at least 18 to create an account, list a space or make a booking.

9. Changes & contact

We will post any changes to this policy here and update the date above. Questions about privacy can be sent to the support address listed in the app.
