VAVVO Safe

Protection starts before anyone arrives.

VAVVO Safe combines identity verification, secure payments, private venue details, booking records, deposits and risk escalation so hosts can make better-informed decisions before opening their doors.

Included marketplace safeguards

Reduce preventable risk before an insurance claim is ever needed.

Verified identity

Guests verify with a secure government-ID and selfie check before booking. Hosts verify before a listing can go live. Other members see the verification badge, never the underlying identity document.

Secure payment before access

Payments run through Stripe. Hosts do not need to chase invoices, and Vavvo's app database does not store full card numbers.

Private venue details

The exact address stays private until a reservation is paid and confirmed. Booking messages and event details remain attached to the reservation.

Deposits and documented claims

Hosts can set a refundable security deposit. Damage claims require a written explanation and evidence before funds are resolved.

Booking information on record

Required event details, guest count, time, selected add-ons and platform messages create a clear record of what was agreed.

Risk escalation

Higher-risk bookings can be asked for additional event details, renewed verification or evidence of event insurance before they proceed.

Insurance-ready host protection

Build protection in layers instead of making Vavvo the first-dollar payer.

A scalable model is to make the booking itself do most of the risk reduction, then add insurance only where an actual policy applies. Vavvo can require deposits, retain a documented booking trail, request proof of event insurance for higher-risk uses and, once a broker/carrier places appropriate coverage, offer supplemental protection for qualifying bookings.

Do not promise coverage before it exists

No dollar limit, “covered” badge, reimbursement promise or insurance benefit should appear until a signed policy or funded protection program legally supports that statement.

General liability is not a damage guarantee

A liability policy can respond to covered legal liability such as bodily injury or third-party property damage. It should not be presented as automatic reimbursement for damage to the host's own venue or belongings unless the policy expressly covers it.

A host-damage promise needs separate backing

If Vavvo later wants an AirCover-style host-damage benefit, structure it as a separately funded guarantee, reserve or insurance-backed program with written eligibility, exclusions and a claims process.

01

Guest responsibility & recovery

Booking terms, a refundable security deposit and available payment recovery are the first line for guest-caused losses. This reduces small claims from becoming an immediate Vavvo cash expense.

02

Event insurance when risk is higher

For qualifying higher-risk events, Vavvo can require the guest to obtain short-term event liability insurance and upload a valid certificate of insurance before final confirmation.

03

Host's primary business insurance

Hosts should maintain the property, venue and liability insurance appropriate for their own operations. VAVVO Safe does not replace insurance the host is legally or contractually required to carry.

04

Vavvo supplemental protection

Once Vavvo has an active marketplace or commercial liability policy that expressly extends to qualifying hosts/bookings, that policy can sit behind the booking subject to its actual wording, territory, exclusions, deductible and claim decision.

What a host can see about a verified guest

Hosts can see that identity verification passed, the guest's public profile, reviews and the booking information the guest submits. Hosts do not receive the government-ID image, selfie, document number or date of birth. A verified badge is a trust signal, not a guarantee of behavior.

Higher-risk booking controls

Vavvo can escalate based on booking facts such as attendance, event type, alcohol, booking value, short lead time, repeated payment failures or unusual account activity — without using protected characteristics as risk factors.
